We want students who are competitive in a variety of areas, while able to think and communicate in any context, especially global. When we talk about education and what it means, what we really want to know is how to instil in our students the knowledge that will make them better learners and better people. How can we be sure that we send them off into life with the skills they really need to grow and develop in a successful, happy way? You can also read some facts and figures about the IB , and catch up on some of the research carried out internationally on the impact of an IB education. The IB has grown from a concept that aimed to spread peace through education in with 7 schools on board, to a global network of almost 5, schools internationally. To celebrate 50 years of education for a better world, the IB is proud to present a new book to commemorate how the IB has helped shape a new world of global education that has benefitted students from all backgrounds around the world. An IB education is widely recognised and accepted by universities around the world.

50 Years of Ordained Women
With gratitude for those who have gone before and hope for the future, the ELCA gives thanks to God for the ministry of women. As part of this anniversary year, we lament that women have been barred from serving and have been bullied, dismissed and excluded. We also celebrate the gifts and service that women have brought to our church and our world as pastors. Congregations are encouraged to hold commemorative events throughout the year! Below are three resources to help congregations observe these anniversaries, including a five-session adult forum, a four-session Bible study, and a liturgy with Scripture and hymn suggestions. If you want to dig deeper, this website explores the history of the ordination decision and what came after. Here is a playlist of ELCA videos related to the anniversary. To read the stories of rostered women of color, check out " God's Faithfulness on the Journey. We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God's grace.

Now that my boyfriend and I are beginning to talk about a future together, though, I realize that I need to consider this question of marrying outside of the church very carefully. So i try and be supportive with cute texts and never asking him to call me or do anything, but it is hard not to feel resentful. Thanks so much for the links. Seems he's always on call or on a totally different schedule than I. Sorry, you can't reply to this topic. You know what the official line of the church is, and what bishops and stake presidents are likely to say. I read every page of the CES letter, and it's definitely convinced me this entire religion is fabricated, but I'm sure she wouldn't even read it much less consider its points seriously. Hi I have read all your comments and although I am not married to a Doctor my dad was a Doctor and I think marrying a Doctor is no different to marrying any man who works with his own ambitions. There's no way a TBM is dating you if she knows about your Lucifer kick. There is no freedom to think, no freedom to speak your mind, and no freedom to do anything that 'the brethren' say not to.
